A person craves to be with someone or do something, but his circumstances may not permit it. Hence, the anguish, the longing, the craving. We all have that moment when the calling gets too strong.
This poem really resonated with me especially with my higher exams coming up. The way it talks about balancing responsibilities and desires feels so relatable. It reminds me of Nietzsche’s idea that “he who has a why to live can bear any how.” Even when things get tough, having a purpose makes it easier to push through. It’s like a little piece of support during all the stress. Thank you for putting this feeling into words👏🏻
The more I am aging, the more I am convinced that most human emotions are universal, irrespective of caste, creed, culture, religion, nationality or any other that seemingly devide us.

Yes, we have all felt that calling when we covet something...be it an education, a job, relationship, car. Nice poem
Thanks 🙏
