I really like how you’ve made the shadow feel like a reflection of our inner self, always there through every emotion and stage of life. And the connection to mortality in the final lines is so thought provoking. Were you reflecting on your own journey or was it more of a universal idea?
Thanks that you liked the poem. I'm glad that the poem resonated with your thoughts.
Most of my writings, especially my poems are my personal reflections. But I don't think there is much difference between personal and universal. Human emotions are universal irrespective of caste, creed, religion, nationality, skin colour or anything else that seemingly devide us.
I completely agree! At the same time, I think the way we interpret or process those emotions can vary based on personal experiences or cultural influences. The core feelings bring us together but the little nuances in how we understand and react to them make our journeys feel personal. I mean, that's what makes writing so powerful, it reflects something both personal and universally relatable
