Thanks so much for the more accurate attribution of the poem. In answer to your question, YES ABSOLUTELY it matters who actually writes something and it is an essential nod of respect to properly accredit them. More important than ever these days with so much AI nonsense being posted. Creativity springs within the richness of a human brain, molded by their individual influences, thoughts, and efforts. At the very least, we can make the effort to call their name.

I absolutely agree with you. One should get proper recognition for one's creation. I liked the poem so much that I wanted to correct the wrong.

But my point was on a different note. I meant, the importance or meaning of a creation doesn't change even if we do not know the creator. As it is famously said, a rose smells equally well even if it is called by a different name.
